Belgorod is a city in Russia, the administrative center of the Belgorod region. It is located on the Seversky Donets River. The population of the city is about 400 thousand people.
Belgorod is one of the most important industrial, cultural and educational centers of Russia. Mechanical engineering, metalworking, food, light and chemical industries are developed here. The city is also famous for its university – Belgorod State National Research University, which includes 24 faculties and offers more than 300 educational programs.
Numerous architectural monuments have been preserved in the city, including the Belgorod Fortress, the Cathedral and the house museum of the writer Alexei Tolstoy.
Belgorod is also known for its beautiful parks and squares, which create a cozy atmosphere in the city. In addition, the city offers a variety of entertainment and activities for residents and guests, including concerts, exhibitions and sports competitions.
